Overview of Cabinet Perfluorohexane System
Cabinet style perfluorohexane fire extinguishing device, also known as pipeline free perfluorohexane fire extinguishing system, has gas fire extinguishing agent storage bottles packaged into a fire extinguishing cabinet with a beautiful appearance. It is usually placed in a protected area, and in the event of a fire, it does not need to go through pipelines and can be directly sprayed and extinguished in the protected area.

Overview of Perfluorohexane Fire Extinguishing Agent
The molecular formula of the new clean gas fire extinguishing agent perfluorohexane (FK-5-1-12) is C6F12O, with a relative molecular weight of 316 04 is a clear, colorless, slightly odorous, and easily vaporized liquid fire extinguishing agent at room temperature.
Perfluorohexane Novec1230 gas fire extinguishing agent does not contain bromine or chlorine elements, and does not damage the ozone layer after extinguishing. Its ozone depletion potential is zero.
More importantly, unlike hydrofluorocarbon fire extinguishers, perfluorohexane Novec1230 has an extremely low greenhouse effect potential (GWP) of 1, comparable to CO2. Additionally, its lifespan in the atmosphere is very short, only 3-5 days. Therefore, it fundamentally solves the environmental pollution problems caused by halogenated and hydrofluorocarbon fire extinguishers.
Due to its environmental friendliness, personnel safety, lack of conductivity, absence of residue after extinguishing fires, no damage to equipment, and excellent fire extinguishing performance, perfluorohexane Novec1230 is truly a green and environmentally friendly fire extinguishing agent with a wide range of applications.
Characteristics of Cabinet style Perfluorohexane Automatic Fire Extinguishing System
1. Environmental Protection:
Not damaging the atmospheric ozone layer (ODP=0), low global warming potential (GWP=1)
2. Efficient fire extinguishing:
The design concentration of perfluorohexane fire extinguishing is about 4.5% to 6%, with high fire extinguishing efficiency. Perfluorohexane can quickly extinguish fires, similar to heptafluoropropane, with a spraying time of no more than 10 seconds. It is of great significance for objects that require rescue protection!
3. No corrosion, good insulation:
Perfluorohexane has good insulation properties and minimal impact on electronic devices, making it suitable for precision electronic equipment
4. Clean and stain free:
After extinguishing the fire with perfluorohexane, there were no residues, clean and stain free. In the following experiment, cultural relics and paintings were soaked in perfluorohexane solution without causing any adverse effects
5. Safety:
The fire extinguishing design concentration of perfluorohexane is about 4.5% to 6%, with a non-toxic reaction concentration (NOAEL) of 10%, indicating high safety

classification and marking
4.1 Classification by fire extinguishing agent driving method:
a) Internal pressure storage fire extinguishing device (represented by N)
b) External pressure storage fire extinguishing device (represented by W)
c) Nitrogen driven fire extinguishing device (represented by Q)
4.2 Marking
The marking of prefabricated perfluorohexane fire extinguishing devices consists of the fire extinguishing device code, the volume of the fire extinguishing agent storage container, the storage pressure of the fire extinguishing agent, the driving method of the fire extinguishing agent, and the number of fire extinguishing agent storage containers. The marking form can be in the following ways
1230 Perfluorohexane Introduction:
1. In 2001, 3M in the United States launched perfluorohexane fire extinguishing agent (trademark name: Novec 1230), Obtained UL and FM certification, and was included as a clean gas fire extinguishing agent in NFPA 2001 standard. The International Organization for Standardization has also developed the international standard ISO14520-5:2016 for 1230 fire extinguishing agents.
2. 1230 is liquid at room temperature and pressure, colorless and odorless, easily vaporizes, and leaves no residue after release. It has excellent properties such as efficient fire extinguishing, environmental protection, and cleanliness. It does not damage the atmospheric ozone layer (ODP=0) and has a low global warming potential (GWP=1).
3. 1230, as an efficient and clean gas fire extinguishing agent, has been recognized and widely used by the international firefighting community. It is currently recognized as a substitute for hydrofluorocarbon fire extinguishing agents such as heptafluoropropane.
Advantage
1. 1230 fire extinguishing agent is a liquid at room temperature, with low tank pressure and convenient storage and transportation.
2. Can extinguish Class A, B, and C fires. It is non corrosive to commonly used metals such as carbon steel, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, etc., and has good insulation, which will not damage electronic components and circuits, and will not cause secondary damage.
3. The extinguishing concentration is much lower than the harmful concentration, with a large safety margin.
Application scope
New energy lithium batteries, energy storage and power generation testing equipment, generator room transformer room, computer room, archives room, library, UPS room, communication base station communication center, television broadcasting center, data center, telecommunications facilities, process control center, expensive medical facilities, valuable industrial equipment museum and art gallery, library archives, valuable item vault, oil depot, etc
