Overview of the Composition of IG541 Gas Fire Extinguishing System
IG541 is a mixed gas fire extinguishing agent composed of 52% nitrogen, 40% argon, and 8% carbon dioxide. It is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-conductive gas with an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a greenhouse effect potential (GWP) of 0. It has a short atmospheric retention time and is a green and environmentally friendly fire extinguishing agent

Structural form of IG541 fire extinguishing system
1. Combination allocation system
Due to high storage pressure, the IG541 fire extinguishing system generally adopts a pipe network fire extinguishing system, and the fire extinguishing agent bottle group is set in an independent storage bottle room.
The pipeline fire extinguishing system can be divided into unit independent and combination distribution types.
2. Leak detection method for IG541 fire extinguishing system
The main components of the IG541 fire extinguishing system are stored in gaseous form. When gas leaks, the pressure decreases and can be detected through a pressure gauge.
3. Immersion time of IG541
The immersion time refers to the time required to maintain the specified concentration of fire extinguishing agent in the protected area after the IG541 is sprayed, in order to completely extinguish the fire.
The immersion time for fire extinguishing should comply with the following regulations:
1. Solid surface fires such as wood, paper, and fabric should last for 20 minutes;
2. Electrical equipment fires in communication rooms and electronic computer rooms should last for 10 minutes;
3. For other solid surface fires, it is recommended to use 10 minutes.
4. Filling density of IG541
Filling density refers to the ratio of the mass of the fire extinguishing agent in the storage container to the volume of the container (kg/m3).
The filling density of IG541 is fixed according to the different charging levels.
